Measuring for a door with flag windows can seem daunting if you are not DIY savvy but we at Frame Style want to make things as easy as possible for you. We have designed a measuring guide to help with concerns you may have.
The first thing you will need to do is look at our guide for measuring for your Door only. Once you have those measurements you can move on to measuring for your flags with ease.
Items you will need to measure:
Important Information: we need the EXACT measurements of the overall frame before we can manufacture your bespoke uPVC door.
ALL MEASUREMENTS SHOULD BE TAKEN AS VIEWED FROM OUTSIDE
Take a look at the image above and follow the instructions on how to measure your door and your flags separately.
First things first you need to take get the two measurements of the door itself this is brick to brick for the width and brick to lintel for the height.
Then we will look at the left flag window first:
Take a measurement of the height from brick to brick. From this figure deduct 10mm for fitting tolerance and sealing.
Take the measurement of the width from brick to the outer frame of the door. Also, deduct 10mm from this figure to allow for fitting and sealing.
Now we will do the right flag - these measurements are taken the same way as the Left flag.
Measure from brick to brick and deduct 10mm from the final figure to allow for sealing and fitting.
Measure from the brick to the outer door frame and deduct 10mm for fitting and sealing.
When you come to order your product you will need your measurements as:
Door Height: xxx
Door Width: xxx
Left Flag Height: xxx
Left Flag Width: xxx
Right Flag Height: xxx
Right Flag Width: xxx
