Measuring for your Door with Toplight

If your current door has a window above the frame itself you will need to include the measurements for this when you order your door. The measurements you take are the same as those if you were measuring for a door only. However, Frame Style are more than happy to give you instructions on how to do this.

Items you will need:

  • Pen
  • Paper
  • Tape Measure

Important Information: we need the EXACT measurements of the overall frame before we can manufacture your bespoke uPVC door.

ALL MEASUREMENTS SHOULD BE TAKEN AS VIEWED FROM OUTSIDE

Width

Take measurements for points A, B and C.
Write down the measurements so you can see if there is any difference.
Use the smallest measurement of the three and then deduct 10mm from this to allow for fitting and sealing.

Height

Measure A, B, and C in that order (middle first).
Write down the measurements for each position.
Take the smallest of the three measurements and deduct 10mm to allow room for fitting and sealing of the door.

When you come to order your product you will need your measurements as:

Height: xxx
Width: xxx
Preferred toplight height:

NB. We will always try to make your toplight to the preferred measurements as long as this allows the door to be within the min/max height.

If you get stuck or are unsure at any point during measuring or ordering, don’t hesitate to call us on 0800 211 8933 and one of our knowledgeable agents will be able to assist you.
